In 1932, over two hundred thousand men armed with machine guns, grenades and cannons took part of one of the most violent wars in America on the 20th century. Brazilians against Brazilians, in a conflict involving air bombings in big cities – such as Campinas, Santos and São Paulo – leaving thousands of dead people.
Why did this war happen? Who took part of it? What are the details of the conflicts? How was the war finally over?
The documentary São Paulo’s War tells this history with accessible language and exciting pace, with some fiction scenes played by Caco Ciocler, among others.
